Encrypted by default

Bundles are encrypted server-side with AES-256-GCM before they ever touch the database. Plaintext is never stored or returned in listings.

Versioned recovery

Every upload becomes a new version with its own checksum and metadata, so you can always roll a fresh Joni back to a known good state.

Yours alone

JWT-authenticated, owner-checked access. No backup is ever listable or downloadable across accounts. Every action is audited.

How restore works

  1. Sign in and download the backup version you need.
  2. Verify integrity — the SHA-256 of the bytes must match the stored checksum.
  3. Drop the decrypted bundle into a fresh Joni workspace.
  4. Restart Joni. Memory, config and skills come back to life.
